Internet Marketing Speaker

Who?  Mike Newhouse

Mike started his entrepreneurial career at the age of 9 when he did a $1 car wash in front of his house and hired other Dallas neighborhood kids to help him.  His car wash was such a success that it became a frequent event outside his (very patient) parents’ house in Dallas, Texas.

At the ripe old age of 12, Mike partnered with his best friend, Mike, and they started M&M Landscaping.  Mike and Mike went door to door for almost six years handing out flyers accompanied by fun sized bags of M&M’s and talked to people about their yards, their needs, and how they could help them with their landscaping.

After graduating from high school at the age of 16, Mike adopted a new passion: motorcycle racing.  He paired his racing career with a newly-created children’s charity that focused on showing school-aged kids a different perspective in the fight against drugs: not how drugs and alcohol would keep them from achieving their dreams, but rather what they could achieve without them.  Road Race for Kids ended up landing support from groups like Accolade Motorsports and SoBe Energy drinks.

And In the Beginning, Mike Created Myspace Marketing 101…

After force-quitting his motorcycle racing career, Mike established a successful partnership that made him the worldwide marketer for a new motorcycle product that he brought to market with the help of Fred Antonini of Fort Worth, Texas.

The birth of this particular Frankenstein’s monster brought with it the need to learn a whole new vocabulary: search engine optimization, email marketing, affiliate marketing, joint ventures, lead conversion and much more. Mike dove headfirst into this brave new world and began to learn and apply as much as he could.  It was this passionate approach to Internet marketing that got his product recognized as the best Myspace marketing product online.

Takin’ it to the Streets…or Stage

It was Jeff Crilley, an Emmy Award winning news reporter in Dallas, who first pushed Mike to speak publicly about Internet marketing.

After giving his first speech on Internet marketing to an audience of over 100 CEOs, Mike landed several clients.  His audience viewed him as a more powerful speaker than most; he held nothing back and didn’t use his time on the platform as a sales pitch.  Instead, he used his time to educate his audience deeply and thoroughly on the subject at hand.  This education-over-sales mentality is something Mike employs to this day.

The Start of Something Beautiful: Web 2.0

After giving hundreds of speeches and managing countless big name clients by himself, Mike go ambitious.

What did you expect from a guy who wrestled alligators?

In 2008 he started to market himself as Web 2.0 Group.

The name referred to the current phase of the Internet (Web 2.0) and Mike’s ambition to hire a staff (the aforementioned “group”) and become one with cyberspace, tickling and caressing it until it delivered exactly the results that Web 2.0 Group’s clients were seeking.

Although the name is nothing to write home about—not exactly cutting edge (which is why it’s now called Impyre)—the results of Mike’s ambition were quite the opposite.

Today Mike serves as President and CEO of the Impyre.  He has established one of the premier marketing consulting operations in the Dallas area and is still watching his business grow.

With the help of a talented staff and a wonderful group of trusted advisors, Mike and the Impyre are making a name for themselves in the world of Internet marketing.

Mike is still a regular SEO speaker (when not doing things like alligator wrestling and motorcycle racing) and speaks to audiences nationwide on Internet marketing. Speaking to and training audiences is what he enjoys most.
